Praseodymium Oxide Evaporation Materials - Pr6O11

One kind of rare earth oxide,Praseodymium oxide may refer to:Praseodymium(III) oxide (dipraseodymium trioxide), Pr2O3；Praseodymium(IV) oxide (praseodymium dioxide), PrO2；Praseodymium(III,IV) oxide, Pr6O11。

For coloring ceramics, also the very dark brown mixed-valence compound praseodymium(III,IV)oxide, Pr6O11, is used.  Praseodymium (III, IV) oxide is used in pigment in glass, optic and ceramic industries. Praseodymium-doped glass, called didymium glass is used in welding, blacksmithing, and glass-blowing goggles due to its blocking property of infrared radiation. It is employed in the solid state synthesis of praseodymium molybdenum oxide, which is used as a semiconductor.
